Why Aruba?

Aruba has been on our bucket listing for years, and we listened to Kokomo 100 instances the week earlier than our arrival. It’s means down south within the Caribbean, near South America, which implies it’s exterior of the hurricane belt and has near-perfect climate yr spherical. I consider it’s a dessert local weather (we noticed a lot of cacti) and so there isn’t a lot rain both.

I’ll say that it was VERY HOT! 85 levels and direct solar was a little bit of a shock to our winter our bodies. We placed on tons of sunscreen and wore rashguards. I felt dangerous “complaining” concerning the warmth, nevertheless it was fierce!

The resort was a straightforward 15-minute van trip from the airport, and the Hyatt is positioned proper in the midst of the developed space so you possibly can simply stroll off property to go to eating places and outlets. If we hadn’t had kids who required automobile seats, we’d have explored the island a bit extra by automobile, so we caught to strolling distance issues solely. Along with the resort being walk-able on the town-side, there was an superior beach-front path that we might use to go on seaside walks the place there have been loads extra eating places and bars to get pleasure from. So the placement of our resort couldn’t have been higher.

Journey Day

On our journey day, we obtained up at 4am and flew from Charlottesville to Charlotte the place we met up with the cousins! This definitely made our 4-hour layover extra thrilling!!

We had some flight delays, however nothing too dangerous, and we had been so glad after we arrived on the resort!!

Birch and Mazen

We went straight down the trail to the seaside, stopping by the birds on the way in which!

(Whereas my mother and father and sister/fam went to their buffet). We preferred having a lighter breakfast, and the boys liked the smoothies! Shout out to MARY who was the friendliest on the employees and was smiling even when she had a line 10 folks deep!

Lunch by the pool

Most days we had lunch on the seaside bar down by the pool. I loved this black bean and quinoa energy bowl with pickled cauliflower, feta, avocado, and a lime crema dressing! We thought the meals on the Hyatt was fairly good! We additionally liked the Balashi native beers – I had a ten ounce one on daily basis at lunch!

The Pool

The pool space was very so good (if a bit crowded) with water options and even a giant waterslide that I examined out! The children liked the waterfall stairs and there was a pleasant large space that was shallow for smaller children (with hidden steps although, so clearly watch them like a hawk.)
