
Lidl-Trek’s Elisa Balsamo received this 12 months’s Trofeo Alfredo Binda, beating World Champion Lotte Kopecky in a dramatic dash victory.
After 140.5 kilometres of racing, a gaggle of 20 riders reached the ultimate nook collectively, turning onto a 3% uphill end in Cittiglio.
Kopecky, who was a last-minute addition for SD-Worx, launched her dash first, with Balsamo powering previous her to the end line. Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) completed in third place.
